She & Him

-Zooey was really bouncing all over the place while she played her tambourine.
-I somehow practically felt like I knew her up there.
-I thoroughly enjoyed the "him" part of the group.
-There were some super, super weirdos there.
-I liked Zooey giving the thumbs up to the audience.
-We were entertained by the crazy sweat-ball lady who kept dumping water over herself and somehow got stuck with us for awhile while she searched for her mysterious "Doug".
-Zooey's hair is gorgeous and I wish it was mine.
-She is so cute.
-We enjoyed it completely.

Girl's Night/Weekend

This last weekend was awesome and we were able to hang out with all the sisters and my mom.  We started out Friday night being treated to pedicures by my mom.

(Our pedicured toes on the peanuty floor of Texas Roadhouse)

After being pampered we met up with the boys for a birthday dinner (to celebrate all of the August birthdays) at Texas Roadhouse.  It was delicious.  We all slept at my parents and then Saturday morning the girls went shopping.  (We were so sad T had to work and couldn't come with us!)  What a fun weekend!

On Monday Elise got back from serving her mission in Cordoba, Argentina.  We are all SO HAPPY to have her home again!  Yay!

-25-

My birthday was this last weekend and we had a whole weekend of celebrating.  I will admit I was nervous for my birthday--something about the number 25 just sounded so OLD to me...and I wasn't sure I wanted to have a birthday at all.  This is the first year I haven't liked getting older.

I think Marcus felt that pressure and he was extra sweet making my birthday a special day.  He woke me up with presents Friday morning and then surprised me with this gluten-free, dairy-free cake.  The cake looked adorable in the cake stand with the big number candles and I was so sad I didn't get a picture of it.  Marcus told me not to worry but that he had gotten a picture of it--mid transport to his parent's house.  Sadly it had tipped over and there was a bit of a disaster, but Marcus was able to refrost it and no one would have ever known the difference.

Friday night Marcus's brother Matt and his wife Marilee and their four cute kids got home from living in Germany for the last 3 years so there was a big welcome home party for them at the Webb's.

My sweet friends threw a birthday bbq at Kendyle + Steve's house Saturday night.   Every single one of us was able to come and we had the best time.  Heidi made adorable birthday cupcakes and Steve made delicious homemade rocky road ice cream.  Such a great way to celebrate!

Birthday celebrations also included Sunday dinner with my family (celebrating me and Katie's birthdays) and Cheesecake Factory with Marcus's family.  Thank you to everyone who made it such a fun birthday!

Lately I

-really like lemons and limes in my water.  Every morning I make myself a water bottle and put a few slices in.  Marcus thinks it seems a little high maintenance.

-love having my fingernails painted.

-have been eating my emotions.  Which means I have been eating a lot more food than I should be.

-push snooze a bazillion times and end up running around rushing to get out of the door on time (which rarely happens).
