My birthday was this last weekend and we had a whole weekend of celebrating. I will admit I was nervous for my birthday--something about the number 25 just sounded so OLD to me...and I wasn't sure I wanted to have a birthday at all. This is the first year I haven't liked getting older.
I think Marcus felt that pressure and he was extra sweet making my birthday a special day. He woke me up with presents Friday morning and then surprised me with this gluten-free, dairy-free cake. The cake looked adorable in the cake stand with the big number candles and I was so sad I didn't get a picture of it. Marcus told me not to worry but that he had gotten a picture of it--mid transport to his parent's house. Sadly it had tipped over and there was a bit of a disaster, but Marcus was able to refrost it and no one would have ever known the difference.
Friday night Marcus's brother Matt and his wife Marilee and their four cute kids got home from living in Germany for the last 3 years so there was a big welcome home party for them at the Webb's.
My sweet friends threw a birthday bbq at Kendyle + Steve's house Saturday night. Every single one of us was able to come and we had the best time. Heidi made adorable birthday cupcakes and Steve made delicious homemade rocky road ice cream. Such a great way to celebrate!
Birthday celebrations also included Sunday dinner with my family (celebrating me and Katie's birthdays) and Cheesecake Factory with Marcus's family. Thank you to everyone who made it such a fun birthday!
