Suggestions?

A little while ago I found this amazing bird cage in the basement of Marcus's grandpa's house.  I instantly fell in love and knew that if he was ever getting rid of it I wanted it.  Marcus told his grandpa and he graciously offered to give it to me.

The painted is chipped in a few places and it is a little rusty so I am going to repaint it.  That is where I need suggestions.  Should I keep it this creme color, which I really like, or paint it a darker, charcoal color?  Either way I think it will be just perfect up on our big shelf/ledge by our stairs.

it would stand out more as a charcoal, since the shelf and wall are white. maybe a blue? teal?

I actually thought of a pretty blue first, but my walls are a light bluish/greenish/gray color, so I think it will either blend in or else clash with the walls.

Chelsea, that cage is darling. I'm so glad you got it. My first reaction as well was to paint it maybe a robin egg blue. That would be cute...but gray would be cute as well. It's such a unique cage that I think a unique color would be cool. Was fun seeing you last night!

Love the cage. And, look at how domestically decorative you are becoming! I'm super impressed! :) Will you help me decorate Sophie's room? I'm serious. I really don't know what to do...

That cage is so unique and awesome! I like the charcoal color idea or a unique color even like some else mentioned. I can't wait to see what you decide! Maybe you've done something by now.

Hey Chelsea, this is Melissa Nickle with Blossom Sweet (Jamie's friend). Anyway, I remember seeing this on your blog awhile back, and I am looking to rent several bird cages like this for an event I have next week. Would you ever consider letting me rent this from you? Also, how big is it? I guess I should have asked that first. Anyway, let me know ASAP please! Thanks!
