Asher and granny a few days before her surgery
I'm pretty sure most everyone thinks this but I have the best mom. She is the most kind and caring person and always taught me to think of others and take care of everyone around me. Growing up I remember coming home from school all of the time and there was a bundt cake baked and decorated. We would always want to eat it but it would be for someone else.
My mom was always taking things to people for their birthdays, as a get-well-soon, or just as an 'I am thinking about you.' I honestly hated it because I wanted it to be for us, but my mom taught us all such a good lesson to always be thoughtful and sweet to everyone around us.
It is hard to see her hurting and stuck in bed, and I wish I could do more to help. My mom taught me so much and always taught by example.
She told me the other day that now that I have Asher and love him so much I can understand how much she loves me. Which is true. I am lucky to have such a good mama who loves all of us kids so much.
On Thursday and Friday me and Asher spent the day to help take care of her and get some things done around the house. Katie also was down with her girlie girls and Asher had so much fun hanging out with his cousins.
Asher played in the grass while granny napped and we waited for Katie, Lola and Stella to get here.
Asher got lots of attention and loves from his cousins Lola and Stella. Stella is one busy toddler but would take the time to come and giggle at Asher, hold his hand, or nestle her head on his shoulder while they were sharing a shopping cart.
Marcus came after work to meet us for dinner at Chipotle. Asher just wanted to push Stellie's stroller.
So much fun!

I'm so happy you got to go help your mom. Asher & his cousins are adorable! Camden loves his cousins :) its great they are so close in age--
I wish we could have gotten a picture of Stella poking Asher in the face--what a crazy bunch of kids!! It really was so fun to have you all around!

I am in love with that picture of Katie and Stell and Asher. It is so cute of all three of them! I can see that cute look on Katie's face that she only gives to babies (you know, the "i'm gritting my teeth to stop from eating this adorable thing" look?). And you really nailed it with describing Mom. We are lucky daughters. You are so sweet to spend so much time with her helping out.
What CUTE cousins!! Asher is lucky to have cousins that he sees often. I can tell just by the pictures that he loves being with them. I feel so bad for your mom! Hope she recovers soon...that is seriously no fun. Asher is tooooo cuuuuteee!!
